Explore my art: from Queenstown to Nipaluna/Hobart

Discover Your Next Favourite Piece in my artistic journey

My name is Kim Bailey and my art transforms the exotic landscapes of Queenstown and Lutruwita/Tasmania into thought provoking pieces that reveal the hidden beauty and imperfections of the landscape, often highlighting what I consider to be our ‘anthropocene’ era.

My Artistic Journey

Born in the enchanting landscapes of Lutruwita/Tasmania, I draw inspiration from the natural and unnatural beauty surrounding me. My journey as an artist began in Queenstown and later in Nipaluna/Hobart, leading me to specialise in photography, acrylic and oil painting. Each piece I create is a reflection of my experiences and the active world I inhabit. My work often incorporates materials reminiscent of the copper mining legacy in Queenstown such as copper, silver, and gold, to create a dialogue between my past and present.

Each of my artworks for sale is registered with the Registry of Australian Art and Artists (NRAAA)
